Cheap and cheerful
Site is surrounded by roads and a railway line. However, the railway is not noisy as trains are slowing for the station, and at night the roads are quiet. If you want a site to relax by your caravan at, then this is not the place for you. However, if you want a base with plenty to do around, that does not cost a lot per night and are happy to use your own facilities then it is perfect. Access into the site is easy, but do watch out when leaving as we did once come across a vehicle overtaking another as we pulled out! The grass was a bit long, but this did not bother us. In fact, we preferred it to having loads of damp grass cuttings stuck to your shoes. If you are in to fishing, the lake appeared to be well stocked. We watched many fish being caught at regular intervals over the weekend. The Devonshire Dumpling is just down the road, and would recommend a visit. The food and the owner were excellent. Overall, for the price, not a bad site.
