We stayed at Knockhill CL for a week in June. Mrs Wade gave us a warm welcome and shared her local knowledge. The site has outstanding views and has easy access to St Andrews and the surrounding areas. The local pub The Straithkinness Tavern is well worth a visit, excellent food, good beer and a friendly welcome. There is great walking all around this area with the Fife Coastal Path very accessible and the Lomond Hills just a short drive away. You can see the walks that we did whilst staying here at our blog twodogsandanawning.co.uk/site/knockhill-cl/

Lovely view across the estuary towards Leuchars. Slightly sloping pitches but perfectly manageable. Owner was welcoming and helpful. Good cycle ride or 5-10 mins car journey to St Andrews for any provisions. Would have given 5 ticks for peace & tranquillity but for the "fly-pasts" by the planes from RAF Leuchars. Will return and would recommend.
