This was our second choice of a site in this area and we were very glad the first site was full. Quite a rough track down to the site, but a slow speeds was not a problem. Although we said it was peaceful, we did enjoy the steam and old diesel trains that run past the site, and also the two footpaths near by were perfect to walk in this very rural and pretty area. Plenty of room, perfect dawns and sunsets, and a pleasure to watch the swallows insect hunting across the site. If there is any criticism of this site it is that the waste disposal must be better. A large manhole opening can be a worry. A lid with an old WC fitted to a cover and cistern to flush as we have seen on other sites would be the only improvement to make this place perfect. We will visit again and pack a safety harness!
