Beautiful site

We have just returned from a great week at Bryn Llys. The host, Carlo, was very friendly and informative. We received a very warm welcome. The CL caravan site was in a beautiful setting next to a lake and amongst trees. The facilities were not available due to Covid so cannot comment on them but we would always use our own anyway. There were hand sanitizers and sprays by the water/waste points. The walk ways around the estate , the bird hide, the path to the village, and the lake were wonderful. There were walks off site along a picturesque river which were approximately 2-3 miles round trip which were ideal for us and elderly dog. Just before we left, the ducks on the lake introduced their brand new ducklings to the world! Absolutely adorable! If you like birdwatching this is an ideal place to be. Lovely mountain views and easy access to Anglesey and Snowdonia. We hope to return in the autumn as really enjoyed our stay.

Great site

Bryn Llys is a lovely site. Beautiful mature gardens and woodland with a lake and little stream. Many walk options direct from the site. Ideal location to explore North Wales Coast, Anglesey and Snowdonia. Several NT properties within half hour drive. Own facilities only at the moment which suited us fine: water, waste disposal etc all conveniently located. Would definitely visit again.

Fantastic Location, Site and Owners

Just returned after 8 nights at Bryn Llys and already planning for our next trip. Carlo and Liz Are great hosts and have just taken the site over in October 19 and already they have made some big improvements with the facilities. Even before arrival, we received key information about the site from Carlo, which the directions was key instead of using the site postcode. As soon as we pulled into the drive, we knew we were going to like the site and saw us extend our stay. The views are spectacular and some lovely walks in the grounds, especially around the lake. Opposite the site, you are on the old cycle way and was great for walking our dog and you could go for miles, with some great views and scenery. Zip world is 20min walk and has a cafe bar, which we grabbed a few beers after a walk. The site has grass and hard standing pitches, which the grass pitches No 1 and 2 need blocks to appreciate the mountains. The site is very quiet ( apart from the odd jeton some days, which is great to see) Definitely on our list of favourite sites and ticks all the boxes for us.

Stunning

What a lovely picturesque site. Perfect for walking and very dog friendly. I can’t find a negative thing to say about it. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay despite the typical Welsh weather.

stunning grounds

This is a beautiful site with a stunning garden and walk into Bethesda. The welcome was warm, friendly and very professional. It was a very tranquil. The one toilet available was 'rustic' which may be off-putting to some, as was the lack of a shower room, which almost prevented us from staying, however we are glad we did as these were not major issues. We would definitely recommend this CL site and will hopefully return

Lovely tranquil site

What a lovely CL. Gorgeous surroundings and in easy reach of everything. I think I would definitely have more hard standings as the grass slopes became very boggy. No midges during our stay. Recommend the Velocity 2 Zip Wire for the more adventurous person, however perfectly sited for walking. Love stay. Thank you.

ENCHANTED SITE

What a delightful, tranquil and peaceful site. It was like a fairy land for adults. Lots of little gardens to explore. The lovely lake to walk around with damsel flies as big as birds. I was in seventh heaven. My favourite site on my North Wales Trip. Would definitely stay there again.

Mature Couple

Excellent site; bit puzzled about where to site the van when we arrived, but set up on pitch 7 - hardstanding and peaceful; owner later confirmed OK. Midges were bad, but we just closed all the fly screens - worth it for the ambience of the site

Excellent CL

We've stayed on quite a few CLs and this is probably the best we've experienced. We seldom go to the same place twice, but this is one we're likely to come back to. Good location for Snowdonia and the north coast, peaceful surroundings (apart from the odd low flying military jet, no more than a few times a day), exceptional surroundings including woodland walks, miniature railway, lake and bird hide. The top grass pitches are on quite a steep slope, as someone else has commented setting up there may need a bit more work but you do get a lovely position. Hard standings pretty much level, more among the trees.

Happy family holiday

This is a very pretty and peaceful site. It was easy to access with the very clear instructions from the owners. We stayed for 11 nights in August with our three children and while it may not be ideal for very young families as there is a large lake on site, we were very happy. We used pitch 7 which was level and on on a hard standing though I suspect it's just luck as to which pitch is available when you arrive. Behind the grass pitches, there was a mown field that the owners allowed us to play ball on. The walk through to Bethesda is really easy, through the very green oak woods nearby. There are plenty of convenience stores and take aways in town (Tesco Express is open until 11pm) and I believe you can catch a bus to Bangor there. While we were there the local model railway club held one of their open days so much to the delight of my children, they could ride the miniature railway around the site. There is so much to do in North Wales if you are prepared to drive around. We used the beaches on Anglesea (Benllech is very family friendly), visited Penryhn Castle which is just a few minutes drive away in Bangor, and went crabbing from the piers at Bangor and Beaumaris. The chap who runs the souvenir/crabbing supplies stall on the pier at Bangor is brilliant. We also went to the 'Bounce Below' at Blaenau Ffestiniog which was expensive but a good thing to do on a wet day. Caernarfon is also another great day out.
