Peaceful haven
Very peaceful site with well spaced pitches and, best of all, taps on every pitch. The grass was very long when we arrived, the only reason for my overall rating of 4 rather than 5 stars, but was cut a little shorter after a few days.
The surroundings are beautiful, with ample footpaths providing a different dog walk each morning. The village of Compton has a small shop and pub, and there are a few more amenities in Westerdon, including good fish and chips.
The site is quiet during the day and silent at night but, like previous reviewers, we would avoid during harvesting as the grain dryer is adjacent.
We would return to this site for its tranquillity alone but it is also ideally situated for exploring Hampshire and West Sussex.
