An excellent, quiet, level site with an open view to the south and easy access to Winchester and a half hour drive to places like Chawton (for Jane Austen fans) and Selbourne (for Gilbert White fans). Access to the site itself is easy and we had a pitch with close proximity to water as well as electricity.
This is one of the best CL's in the South that we have stayed at for the last five days. Thoughtfully laid out to a very high standard and maturing well with great views of the rolling downs just outside Winchester, make this a quiet location to enjoy and come back to again. Well done Harry and Nigel, we will be back !
Beautiful views whatever the weather. Great walks and cycle rides..0.5 miles away is a stunning walk (watercress railway walk). The site has excellent facilities, 2 points of drinking water. Waste set nice distance from any vehicles. Every pitch has a 180 d south view. Quiet lane behind (only the sound of horse riders and the odd dog walkers car). Spotted red kites, buzzards and deer. The village has everything (shop/pubs). The is a railway line but far enough away not to disturb. Owners are very helpful and accommodating.. Simply stunning one not to be missed.
Excellent site with 360 deg countryside views. We liked the simple prepayment system and the security of the gate code. Water close to pitches is a nice touch too. Obviously good draining as perfectly useabke even after the heavy rains of April and May!
We loved this site, spent 2 nights on our way down to Weymouth. Well worth the stop over. Peacefull and tranquil entry code and online payment, so easy. Would definitely return maybe for longer next time. Easy journey to Winchester and all that it has.
If you are looking for peace and quite this is the site for you. Beautiful views and kestrels about all day. Distant trains but definitely don’t disturb you.
Sloping but don’t need blocks and nice short grass which drains very well.
Wander down the dead end lane and a nice circular walk or cycle ride through forest and disused rail lines.
Water and waste good, gateway nice and wide and secure with code lock.
We will be returning.

Very easy to access. Clean grassy surface. Described as having sloping pitches but the slope is only about 5cm side to side. Hilltop location with distant views but exposed to wind. The newly planted hedges will help when mature.
Almost no traffic past the gate (dead end). Nearby railway is audible but not intrusive.
King Charles pub (half a mile) serves excellent food and beer and from there you can catch frequent buses to Winchester.
We look forward to a return visit.
