What a find!
We found this little gem by chance, & what a find! We were greeted upon arrival by Martin & Lucy who were very friendly and knowledgeable of the area.
We were shown to the field & had the choice to pitch wherever we wanted, as we were the only people there! The field has a slight slope but not enough to warrant levelling blocks. The Elson point , waste water are at the entrance to the site & the drinking water is about 20 foot away from them. Martin & Lucy will also sell you fresh eggs too!
Peace & tranquillity is what we liked about this site. The wildlife is in abundance with Owls, Foxes, Deer and plenty of other wildlife.
The walk to Houghton Mill is only a 10 minute walk from the site, as is the pub the Axe & Compass. The site entrance is on Sustrans route 51 cycle route. It is a great base for walks to Huntingdon & St Ives too. We will definitely be going back to this gem!
