A basic site which we have stayed at many times however the access road has deteriorated almost to the point of being dangerous when entering and exiting. The toilet emptying facility although functional could do with a tidy up. My husband secured the water pipe as it was hanging down into the drain.
Worth noting if you’re staying for any length of time there are no waste bins available.
I stayed 2 nights @ the end of September ... so peaceful ... no bother from road noise or farm traffic ... No showers or toilet block, used the stuff in the van. There is elsan and fresh water supply.
We spent two days at this site. The entrance lane is bumpy and we did have to watch we didn't catch the bottom of our camper but it's only a short track so OK with care. The grass had obviously been cut a while ago and not picked up so the grass was quite long but we find this better than having it cut and then left, so you tread the clippings into your van. The road by the site is quite quiet with only the occasional car etc. which was unfortunately drowned out by another member using a generator all evening when we were sitting outside our van. We could hear the trains in the distance but that wasn't at all off putting. It was interesting watching the planes and gliders overhead. Over all this could be an excellent site with a little TLC but for £5 a night it was excellent value and if we were in the area we would definitely stay here again.
