VERY CONVENIENT SITE

A good price and the booking process was very quick and easy.  After leaving a message, the owners got back to us very quickly.  A very warm welcome on arrival and the added benefit was, it is on a fruit farm.  So once we pitched up we went blackberry picking and they were gorgeous.  We only stayed one night, as we were visiting Legoland, which was approximately only half an hour away.  We found the site very quiet and well looked after and it was nice to be next to fields with sheep and horses. The only slightly tricky thing was turning into the lane for the site, as we have a 23ft long motorhome and when cars are parked for the fruit farm, it was a little tight for turning, but certainly not a problem, especially when the fruit farm was closed. We will definitely use again.

Peaceful Retreat After Hectic Days Out

We have just returned from a lovely 4 night stay at Home Cottage Farm. It is within easy reach of Windsor and Legoland, and we also went to Hampton Court, which was only about 40 minutes away. There is a pub within walking distance, and several others in the village. We tried the Red Lion, which was fine. The field is very quiet and peaceful with plenty of room for 5 caravans. We enjoyed watching the rabbits and sheep, and listening to the birds. The turning in to the site does look tight, however the owner advised us to loop round the car park which made getting in no problem at all.  Facilities here are minimal, however with water and waste disposal provided, we were fine. It was nice to be self sufficient in our lovely caravan! We used a solar panel to help top up the electricity on board, but I think we would have been fine without it. We were unable to leave on the right day due to strong winds, but this was not a problem to the owners who were very kind and accommodating.  It felt like a real break and we would stay here again when we next visit the area.

Wonderful little oasis in a busy part of the country

We only stopped one night at this site and chose it primarily for convenience. Situated just off the M40/M25 this site gives you access to so many places – we used it as a stop off when visiting family in London. The site is on a pick your own fruit farm – we were there is September so it was apple and plum season. The site itself sis tucked away at the back of the farm with almost no road noise and it felt like we were in the countryside. Free range poultry, horses in the next field and a few fruit pickers were all that we saw on site. Simple, but well located, facilities, with no electric hook-up. The owner were friendly and welcoming – the only word of warning is that the entrance through the fruit picking facility is tight – we have a large single axle van and it took a few manoeuvres to turn the corner. Just be patient and take it slowly! We would go back again if we are in the area.
