Ease of arrival/welcome

A Dorset Jewel

We booked to stay a couple of nights and stayed a week. A very friendly welcome both on the phone and once we had pitched. A busy farmer always with a cheery wave and time to give you his tips for a great day out. A large field with plenty of space and fabulous views of the rolling Dorset hills. Chocks used but levelling blocks not needed. Newly built WC too. We particularly enjoyed walks from Burton Bradstock NT car park and from Stonebarrow NT car park on the Golden Cap estate.   Excellent location for exploring coast line west and east and for Weymouth and other coastal towns ; West Bay , Charmouth and Lyme Regis. Excellent food at the Elm Tree pub at Langton Herring (dog friendly too) after a beautiful short circular walk looping from the village to the south west coast path and back round.  Nice dog walk too from site across the road past East Farm and to hamlet of Buckland Ripers and back down the road. We love no electric sites like this -quiet ,peaceful and with views.
