We have just enjoyed a wonderful two week stay at Hilltop Farm. This site is the pride and joy of Tricia and Brian who keep it immaculate, the site has a coded gate entrance, the dust bin and recycling are emptied daily and the grass is kept very short. The owners are happy to help with anything you require from pitching to local knowledge and are keen to make sure your stay is a happy one. The site is in a very beautiful location, close to a recreation field for those who need dog walking. The site has a field drain along its edge which is full of wildlife whilst there we saw roe deer, coot moor hen, weasel, swans and cygnets and Canada geese. There is a bird hide for closer observations. We walked out onto the salt marsh and across the beach and through Saltfleet haven, Gerry pretty. We cycled along the very quiet lanes, watching the combine harvester bring the crop in and the bailer make short work of the straw so interesting. The sunsets are amazing and the views far reaching. Within a short drive are the lovely seaside towns of Mablethorpe and Sutton on Sea, good coffee and ice cream. We thought the nicest local pub was the Axe and Cleaver at North Somercotes. The local fish and chips were good but large portions. We loved our stay and cannot recommend highly enough. Thank you Tricia and Brian for a fabulous stay and being so welcoming.
