Fab for Dogs

We have just spent 8 nights at this top rate site, the owner was extremely helpful and greeted us on arrival, produced a map of the nearby footpaths and local information on shops etc. and was always on hand for advice, she came to say goodbye and since the weather was awful , offered to pull our caravan off the grass pitch with their 4x4 if we encountered any problems The site is blissfully quiet and although next to a small road that goes to Skidbrooke village and beyond, it was not used often, there are many footpaths that leave the site and across the minor road, the site is surrounded on 3 sides by water so beware big, black slugs in the morning and evening ( my dogs were very interested in them!)  A footpath across the road from the site takes you down the edge of a field to the village park (dogs allowed off lead and the grass area is huge) The beach in Saltfleet is the best Ive ever been to for size and emptiness. we visited the nature reserve in the village for a good walk with our 4 dogs, Moggs Eye beach ( not as quiet as Saltfleet but quieter than busy Mablethorpe or Cleethorpes ) , Cleethorpes Country Park ( lots of well defined tracks )  Louth town ( quaint market town, lovely church and antique shop ), Donna Nook, but no access to beach cos it is used by the MOD, but footpath, Mablethorpe North Beach near Seal Sanctuary is large, empty and dog friendly Big food shops in Mablethorpe ( Co-op and Lidls ) -6 miles but plenty of little shops nearby, cash till  here also ( at Co-op ) Fabulous Fish and Chips from chippy in village -well worth a visit Well kept site, no grass cutting while we were around-thankfully, one of the reasons we love CLs Recycling facilities, neat area for water, toilet emptying All in all a truly, fabulous site and we would definately use it again if in the area-Highly Recommended!
