PERFECT SITE

Visited this site a couple of weeks ago and it was just perfect, we were made really welcome from the off and enjoyed a lovely few days of peace and quiet, great waste and water point and our little Yorkie was in heaven with the nearby park and walks. we called at the farmhouse when we left but our hosts Patricia and Brian out so we would like to thank you now for a lovely stay and look forward to seeing you again if you will have us, Alan and Jean.

Peace and tranquility

If you are looking for big skies, a peaceful setting with nature all around you, then look no further. The owners are a credit to themselves and obviously take great care looking after this little haven of paradise. There may not be a shower block, but all the essential facilities are there with wonderful hosts to offer any assistance when needed. You are only ten minutes walk from the pub, about twelve minutes from the Chippy and 15 minutes from coastal walks but the site could be in the middle of nowhere. It is so peaceful and beautiful. The biggest problem is trying to get up in the morning.. but don't worry there is no rush from the owners! A wonderful place to visit and return to!

Highly recommended

This was our first long trip (9 nights) away in caravan and we couldn't have picked a better place to stay. Plenty of room between pitches although we were the only ones on site. Only sounds was that of bird song. Plenty of walks and small local shop/garage few minutes away. Easy access to long empty beaches. Town of Louth within 15 mins is a lovely market town. Patricia and Brian were the perfect hosts. All in all a fantastic CL.

Great Site

What a perfect location.  Given a warm welcome by Patricia and Brian and given a map of the area. The cuckoo was still give voice as was the other bird life. The site is very well maintained. Good walks from the site both to the coast and to local shops. If you want an excellent pub meal ask Patricia or Brian for directions. Thank you for one of the best sites we have stayed on.

Spot on

We are just back from our first visit, peace and quiet would be an understatement that's for sure, the cuckoo was the most noise we heard. Lovely warm welcome, could not ask for more.

Lovely Location

We spent 3 nights at this lovely CL in April. It was  easy to find. We were warmly welcomed by the owners and given a map of the local area. There were  2 hardstanding the rest beautifully mown grass. The views were amazing,  miles of beautiful flat countryside. It was a short walk to the village where we tried out the pubs , shop and fish and chip shop: all excellent and everyone so friendly.  We were surprised no one else was at this CL. We would definitely return.

Fab site for dogs

We have just got back from spending a night at this site but will definitely be back for longer next time.  A very friendly welcome, good facilities and walks right on your doorstep.   The village is less than 10 minutes to walk to with a shop, cafe, 2 pubs and a fish and chip shop which was excellent.  The beach is 15 minutes away.  There is also a playing field across the road where you can let your dogs run off lead.   A great getaway from the crowds if that's what you are after with good walking for dogs.

A Fantastic CL

This is a great adults only CL. It is beautifully kept. The owners were really welcoming. It is ultra dog friendly with fantastic walks straight from the site. The sea is within easy walking distance. This is one you will want to visit again and again. The weather was also fantastic when we visited but I don't think the owners can guarantee this!!

Fab for Dogs

We have just spent 8 nights at this top rate site, the owner was extremely helpful and greeted us on arrival, produced a map of the nearby footpaths and local information on shops etc. and was always on hand for advice, she came to say goodbye and since the weather was awful , offered to pull our caravan off the grass pitch with their 4x4 if we encountered any problems The site is blissfully quiet and although next to a small road that goes to Skidbrooke village and beyond, it was not used often, there are many footpaths that leave the site and across the minor road, the site is surrounded on 3 sides by water so beware big, black slugs in the morning and evening ( my dogs were very interested in them!)  A footpath across the road from the site takes you down the edge of a field to the village park (dogs allowed off lead and the grass area is huge) The beach in Saltfleet is the best Ive ever been to for size and emptiness. we visited the nature reserve in the village for a good walk with our 4 dogs, Moggs Eye beach ( not as quiet as Saltfleet but quieter than busy Mablethorpe or Cleethorpes ) , Cleethorpes Country Park ( lots of well defined tracks )  Louth town ( quaint market town, lovely church and antique shop ), Donna Nook, but no access to beach cos it is used by the MOD, but footpath, Mablethorpe North Beach near Seal Sanctuary is large, empty and dog friendly Big food shops in Mablethorpe ( Co-op and Lidls ) -6 miles but plenty of little shops nearby, cash till  here also ( at Co-op ) Fabulous Fish and Chips from chippy in village -well worth a visit Well kept site, no grass cutting while we were around-thankfully, one of the reasons we love CLs Recycling facilities, neat area for water, toilet emptying All in all a truly, fabulous site and we would definately use it again if in the area-Highly Recommended!

Lovely

A lovely peaceful CL. We have just returned from 3 nights here and had the place to ourselves. The owners were very helpful & friendly when booking and left a nice welcome note when we arrived (as they were on holiday during our stay). They thoughtfully have left wood for levelling blocks, although we didn't need them on the pitch we chose. They have a herb patch next to the water tap which they have a note on to help yourself. Very clean, well kept site, with lovely views over the open countryside. Only a short walk to the village and great that you can take the dog on the beach & surrounding land even in the summer. We will be back, lovely site.
