Great place to stay

Spent 4 nights in our motorhome on one of the two good hard standing pitches. This is a peaceful and well kept site with a shop within walking distance. Warm welcome from Trish with helpful information and also a good information hut. We arrived on a Saturday and so were able to walk up to the local fish van for some lovely local dressed crab. Good butchers farm shop about 5 miles away on quiet lanes making for a good (flat) bike ride. We cycled out to Donna Nook reserve for some great close up viewings of the newly born seal pups. Great place for walking and quite bike rides. Would recommend.

Walks galore.

We have just had our second visit here and our opinion hasn't changed from our first visit. A beautiful site, very friendly people and a very useful information cabin. We found more walks this time and visited a very interesting derelict church nearby. We topped off our stay with a delicious cream tea which was delivered to our (caravan) door. What more could you ask for. Will be back next year.

Great Place

Stayed here for 3 nights last week on one of the two hardstanding pitches as we have a campervan. However, the grass was in such a good state that we could have pitched on it without a problem. The grass was kept nice and short and all the amenities, ie toilet emptying point, rubbish bins, etc were clean and tidy. There was a separate water filling point for motorhomes just at the entrance. Nice, flat, local walks both along the coast and inland. Shop selling basic provisions was within a 10 minute walk and two pubs plus fish and shop just a few minutes further on. Although we didn't try the pubs we did try the afternoon tea that was advertised in the information hut. What can I say about that except it was fantastic and we'd definitely have it again next time we go!!!! We got a friendly welcome from the owners on our arrival and they appeared from time-to-time on the site to see we were all okay. Would definitely recommend if you want an adult only, quiet and attractive CL.

What a Gem!

We spent four nights here last week with our two dogs and absolutely loved it. Beautifully kept site and really friendly and helpful hosts. Lots of lovely local footpaths and a huge playing field nearby for the dogs. Also, walking distance to the local amenities. We loved it so much we have already booked to come back in September!

One of the best CL's we've been to

Excellent site, very well kept and run by caravaners. We had an emergency at home whilst we were staying on our last day. The owners of the site went above and beyond to help us and we can't praise them highly enough. Very friendly and welcoming. A great site to explore this quite stretch of coast. A couple of pubs in the village an easy walk away. Great exercise field for dogs a hundred yards down the road. Adults only as a land drain is on one side of the site. There is also a small hide so you can watch the local wildlife. We will definitely visit again. 2 hard standing pitches available with excellent hookup facilities on all pitches. If you like walking and peace and quiet this site is perfect. Thank you Patricia & Brian!

So peaceful.

Lovely welcome and easy access. Travelled on my own, so a little help on arrival was much appreciated. Found lots of places to visit, and very friendly folk in local amenities. My dogs are raw fed, and there was a guy just a few miles up the road, who allowed me to take samples of food for free to see if my dogs liked it as he didn’t stock their usual brand. Once we had established their food, he kept it in his freezer for me until I needed it. The owners wandered around each day to check if all was ok. Sadly on the night before returning, I was taken into Grimsby hospital. My best efforts to not wake anyone up failed and the owners arrived at the ambulance to tell me that they would walk my dogs and make sure they were ok, until I could get someone from Bham to go and fetch them back!! Well done to them. They saved me a lot of worry. Excellent service all round.

Lovely CL

Stayed for one night at this lovely site. Easy booking and warm welcome complete with a map and suggestions for food. Very well kept site and the disposal facilities were exceptionally clean. Perfect stay, thank you. Ideal for seeing the seals at Donna Nook and walking in the Lincolnshire Wolds. Really enjoyed our visit to Louth as well.

A lovely quiet rural site

Easy booking with a prompt email response from Patricia. She gave good directions and the site is easy to find and access good (from a quiet country road). There are 2 hard standings and 3 grass pitches all with electric, although if you want more space I understand you can pitch further away from the buildings. The outlook is open over fields and very rural. Dog walks from the edges of the site into Saltfleet and also to the East. The pubs in Saltfleet are disappointing and the petrol station shop a bit basic, but it does seem to stock most of what you'd need to top up. Patricia and her husband are rightly proud of the site and spend time cleaning, so you will definitely see them. They are helpful with directions and other advice and are certainly more visible than at some other sites. Overall a lovely site and well placed for one of the quieter bits of the Lincolnshire coast. We will be back!
