We stayed at this CL for a few nights in August 2014 and received a warm welcome from Mrs Wood.  This CL is in a lovely setting and there is no shortage of good walking locally with a few walks accessible from the site.  I never thought I would comment on the length of grass on a site, but unfortunately here it had not been cut for sometime.  A pity because it detracted from what was otherwise a great site. The local pub in Newland ‘The Ostrich’ is popular and dog friendly.  We only popped in for a pint and did not sample the food but could hear positive comments from those who had been eating.
