I pre booked and was told that there is one hard standing pitch and the others were in a very grassy field -did I have a 4x4? Yes I have but it wasn't necessary. We arrived and found a reserved notice on the hardstanding pitch, but saying if we wanted an alternative just pick one. We chose the reserved pitch.  We were greeted when the owner arrived, very friendly and helpful. The site was one of the best we've visited. No facilities other than electric, tap and toilet disposal, but what else do you want?  Easy access to Coleford  (5 mins) but you're in the middle of very lovely countryside. Easy access to the site. Very quiet. If you want peace and quiet in the countryside with a friendly and helpful greeting book this one. ( I know some have said £15 per night is a lot for no facilities, but get a grip - this site is fantastic)
