Perfect!

Recently stayed at Higher Stidston Farm. No problem with access. Were met by lovely people who made us feel so welcome. The toilet and showers were very well done and kept beautifully clean. Enjoyed some lovely days out on Dartmoor and enjoyed walking in the surrounding area. Very good pub food nearby too at the Avon Inn. (lovely walk to the pub along the river Avon) and The Turtley Corn Mill. I'd recommend this CL to anyone. We will definitely be back!

One of the Best CL's

The entrance to the site has been modified so that, while we were there, an extra large 4x4 towing a 30ft caravan came straight in and later went straight out without any problems. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will be going back

What a nice site

Last year we stayed here for one week the site is nice and quiet with a clean shower room/toilet. The access to the site from the main road is .55 miles ( according to my tom tom) there are nine passing places so should you meet the one car per hour there's not a problem and as for the site access I did not have any problems (with only seven years experience )I think the previous review driver was having a bad day or was tired after a long journey .This year I have been here for two weeks had a wonderful time.

Fantastic

Just returned home after a week here, great site with good facilities especially the wet room with plenty of hot water. A lovely view from this site, and close to Dartmoor with lovely walks, we had a lovely meal at the turtley inn with some fine ales also there are great beaches only a short distance away, the owners Carol and Graham were very helpful and pleasent, would definitely recommend this site and will return again soon.

A "Curates Egg"

A beautiful view from this site. Spacious spotless toilet/wetroom. I hesitate to utter criticism of any site and over the years have seen many of varying standard and price, but wish this review to be even-handed. Last 3/4 mile in lane very narrow. In 40+ years of caravanning this was one of the tightest right-angled turn-ins to a site we have encountered. Was it our years of experience that got us on site safely; rather think it was a fluke. Also must approach from A385 i.e. from east unless you want to encounter 7ft width limited hump-back bridge, we ok but others were not. Owner lives 6 miles from site, so possibility of unsupervised ad-hoc arrivals filling pitches pre-booked by others. Electrics provided by one single 5-way outlet post, ( not seen this before) so spacing of all 5 vans restricted to overall distance of one cables length left or right. Nevertheless, would definitely visit again.
