Higher Sea House is the perfect location, if you want to visit Ilminster. It is located just outside Ilminster, a 45 mins walk along the old railway line (cycle path) or 30 mins along the road. Its got pavement most of the way, but there are parts without a footpath. If you walk the old railway line as the sunsets, you will see lots of bats and if you listen closely you may hear owls. The site itself is in a beautiful location. It is just off one of the main roads out of Ilminster, but once at our pitch we did not notice any road noise. The pitch overlooks the owners amazing garden. The owners have a few chickens that are quite inquisitive, but very tame and friendly. Each morning they would join us for breakfast, which made us smile. The owners were very friendly and make you really feel like you have know them for years. We really enjoyed our stay, it was lovely to meet Myra & Myles.
