Without repeating what has already been said, this is a cracking cl. We were on the pasture adjacent to the cl but this afforded us lovely open views. Sunsets great. Andrew has struck a perfect balance between offering superb facilities and maintaining a peaceful rustic feel. Ie. Each pitch has water, waste , hookup, recycling and general waste bin plus individual toilet waste emptying point. But Andrew has left the borders and the centre if the meadow wild which suits the location perfectly, the site is easily reached from the b road without having to negotiate the infamous Cornish lanes. Pitches are level and spacious.
Very convenient to all the lizard has to offer. Rural position but easy access to Sainsbury’s one way and Nisa the other meaning you can stock up on the way back. They can even deliver to the site perfect for you Motorhomers. We will be back if down this way and that says a lot.
Lovely CL
We have spent a lovely 10 days on this CL site. Very well kept site, great spacious service pitch with bins and recycling on each pitch. Lovely welcome pack given on arrival with all the information required for a great holiday. We were lucky enough to have the majority of dry, sunny days with clear night skies where the stars were amazing.
This CL site is one I would definitely recommend.
Thank you Andy..

Cracking place to stay near Lizard
We stayed at Higher Bochym Farm for four nights and this was our first experience of a CL site. I've got to say I couldn't fault it. We stayed on one of the pasture pitches and it was beautiful and peaceful. We had a really nice welcome from Andrew the owner who appeared on his bike as we arrived. He showed us to our pitch and explained everything to us before giving us a welcome pack that contained eggs and homemade jam. The pitch had everything there, water, grey waste, electricity and toilet emptying, so it made setting up really easy. We had loads of space around us and because we had the end pitch it seemed like we were on our own. The sunset over the farm was spectacular.
It is really well placed to visit the local area but beware the roads to Lizard Point are very narrow. We missed the turning to the lighthouse parking and it got very tight. Kynance Cove is well worth a visit.
Overall we had an amazing stay and will definitely be going back again.
Thanks for the amazing stay.
Cuckoo in Higher Bochym
We cannot fault the owners of this site, beforehand their communications were superb, the site itself is spacious, clean and well-organised and we were greeted by Andrew bearing a welcome pack. The views across towards the naval base are beautiful especially at sunset. The hedges around the site appeared to be bursting with birds and their song. I heard a cuckoo in one of the shrubs immediately behind our motorhome but sadly couldn't see it.
There is an access road to a small industrial estate (which another reviewer has mentioned) and I agree that the noise, size and speed of the vehicles travelling along it, just a short distance from our motorhome was disconcerting but doesn't continue into the night.
For us the biggest disappointment was the lack of access to any footpaths without walking along what is quite a busy but narrow road. However, we cycled to the Lizard and as our pitches are booked we could drive with confidence knowing that we would be able to park there on our return.
This is a good base to explore this part of the country from.
A cracking summer holiday
Spent 12 nights here as part of our summer holidays. Our first visit and what a great CL. Loads of space, very well kept and service pitches too boot!! A very friendly welcome from Andrew on arrival with homemade marmalade, free range eggs and local information pack. Not given 5 stars for peace and tranquility due to noise from nearby main road and road at rear of site to an industrial estate. Noise only really noticable during daylight hours but there nevertheless. That said it hasn't stopped us from booking our return in 2020.
We can't wait to return!!!!!!!!
We could not be happier.
Andrew and Sarah provide a gem of a site. Hard roads approach this very spacious site, with great views, hard standing or grass, and individual Water and Waste. 16 amp power and Free WIFI around 50mg. Their shop provides local eggs, bacon, Black Pudding Hogs pudding and home made preserves plus much more. They are extending their shop later this summer.
Their laundry is excellent.
We return regularly throughout the year from Nottinghamshire.
Best CL experience to date...
Touring round Cornwall, phoned in the morning and got last free pitch for that evening. Made very welcome by owners, and pleased to find small launderette available. WiFi very good, good Vodafone and O2 4G signals. 11/10!
Wonderful, we will return!
We stayed for 5 nights from 18-23 May and found the site was perfect for us. I was worried about noise having read previous reviews and I don't cope well with noise as I have PTSD. However, I can honestly say that the odd lorry etc passing by behind our motorhome didn't bother me in the slightest. I often struggle to sit outside the motorhome because I can hear other campers with their radios etc., but I happily sat outside doing my craft work and really enjoyed walking the dog around the field etc. I wish now that I stayed the full 10 nights at this site, instead, I chose another five nights at the Marazion club site and had a less than enjoyable time with their strict rules, noise etc. Andrew, you have got it right, lovely spacious pitches and friendly feeling, will not hesitate to return.

Somewhat dissapointed
Andrew was welcoming and enthusiastic, good pitch layout and services welcomed. We anticipated some aircraft noise being close to the airbase but this did not prove to be a problem. We read comments about intermittent traffic noise associated with the 'workshops' unfortunately our experience was the opposite on afternoons the traffic noise from low loaders with plant, numerous HGVs and quarry type vehicles was horrendous being the other side of the hedge (approx 5 metres from your outfit) If you are the type of caravaner who appreciates peace and quiet to read and dare I say it snooze the odd afternoon as a break form visiting attractions then it is impossible. The 'workshops' were accompanied with constant bleeping from plant reversing and we believe generated dust coating the caravan, awning and car. We also felt the site entrance leading onto the workshop lane (necessitating nosing the car out) would benefit from a mirror or at least signage informing the traffic of a concealed entrance as the speed some of them passed was ridiculous If you spend all day away from the van (as I suspect most do) then then I feel sure you would encounter the worst of the noise.Negatives apart non of of which are under the control of Andrew The site on quiet days was lovely.
