Beauty with peace and quiet.

Stayed on this picturesque well laid out site for 4 nights in early May. It is essential to follow the written directions and not sat nav as approach the lanes are very tight and with a prayer nothing bigger than a car will come the other way. The entrance to the site is a little tight but manageable but a note for first time visitors, the gate opens outwards. The site is level and grass cut short with stunning views out to sea. Well spaced pitches and good water and waste facilities. Ideally located for passenger ferry to Salcombe and nearby beautiful coves and bays. Excellent value for money.

Simply stunning!

This CL offers everything we love about these sites including stunning scenery, peace and simplicity. The other reviewers really have said it all. However a word of warning for those with a longer outfit! Our van is 24ft and we tow with a kia Sorrento. We negotiated the Devonian Lanes which are as stated no problem with care and courtesy on both sides; if a little heart in mouth at times. The entrance to the site is wide but from the narrow lane is tight we made it in just. Leaving was another issue and we ended up un-hitching car from van and motor moving van into lane and onto car.  Would we come back? Undoubtably. Would we recommend? Without hesitation but not one for a new or novice tower.

Loved It!

We stayed at High Hill Farm CL for 6 nights and what a location!  The actual site is extremely well maintained, grass cuttings collected, excellent layout for recycling rubbish and there are several places for water all of which have easy to use taps. The coastal views from this very peaceful site are gorgeous and it is a great location for the coastal path with Mill Bay and the ferry to Salcombe in one direction and the lovely village of East Prawle in the other.  It is ideal for visits to Hope Cove, Dartmouth and Kingsbridge let alone the local beaches. Our dog Max loved the local walks followed by a cream tea at Gara Rock! It was very helpful on arrival to be given an information sheet with some great advice. This CL is most definitely a great place for a break in beautiful Devon.

We will be back....

What can we say, yes we were blessed with the weather, but this site does it all. Cliff top location with stunning views, short grass, multiple taps and 5 well spaced hookups. We met people who had been many times before and that says it all! Do not expect, good mobile access, but who needs it on holiday. To get this peace, location and easy access to a stunning beach and Salcombe does come at a slight price. The access is down Devonian lanes, BUT they are nothing to worry about, plenty of passing places and considerate drivers who give you time and space. Or simply time your journey early or late. As I said we will be back......

Good for the soul

We have found this beautiful place and just cant stop coming back as often as we can. It is located just above the south west coast path and is nestled into an Area of Outstanding Beauty. The field in front of the site is a home to skylarks which gather every evening just while your sitting sipping a cold beer or a glass of wine before supper. It is within easy access of Seacombe Sands just below which is a stunning beach and very safe and sheltered, a little climb back up but nothing too strenuous. Mill Bay Beach is a 15 minute walk which looks over Salcombe and this equally is perfect for a relaxing picnic and swim, ferry to Salcombe regularly runs £1.50 ew. p.adult. You would need loos/shower on board and there is a waste for chemi loos. Its beautifully kept and a quiet location, with only 5 hookups.
