Ease of arrival/welcome

Quiet but windy!

We stayed here late April/early May. We arrived in the wind and rain and were met by Vic who told us where to pitch. One thing to bear in mind is that the pitch price only includes some units of electricity per night, something which isn't mentioned here, but was in an email when I enquired about availability. To be honest we were paying £26 per night (£1 for the awning) on a grass pitch and didn't really feel we should pay more. It was a bit cold so we used gas when we needed the heating on! In nice weather I can imagine it's lovely, but it is very exposed and when we had a very windy night we were kept awake by our awning flapping (which we took down the next day) and also a wind turbine whirring in the next field. Vic did come by with some information sheets about nice walks. It is very handy for RSPB Bempton Cliffs where we were lucky enough to see some puffins.
