First outing, beautiful location

This was our first trip out with the van so wanted to be relatively local to home. Easy to find and access site. Follow the instructions/directions given. Although there is a quicker route from Upton, which we found in the evening, do not be tempted to try to enter with the van - there's some sharp bends and a tiny little bridge on a bend which is just enough for a car and not very good views of oncoming traffic so don't be tempted. Well set up and spacious pitches. Option to pitch on hard standing or the grass field. Given it was end of March/early April we went for the hard standing which was wise as the ground was still a bit soft. For our first site we were really pleased with our choice, clean toilet facilities. Even items which you could "borrow" if you'd forgotten something. Mrs Herbert very welcoming and chatty. Great for dogs unless they have a big aversion to ponies (2) which are in a separate paddock but close to the dog walking field which was great but I personally wouldn't have let him off lead as he could have got through the fences Beautiful views of the Malvern Hills in the backdrop. A bit of road noise, it's obviously used as a short cut around the main part of Upton at the beginning and end of day but other than that you can't grumble at the tractor noises and horses walking by so it certainly didn't bother us. We stayed 3 nights and wished we could have stayed longer. Will definitely return. If you want relative peace and quiet, a quaint town to visit, walking over the hills or to just sit and chill this is a great site.
