Well located site for the Malverns and Upton upon Severn.

This site is well run by by the owners who clearly want you to enjoy yourselves in a very relaxed way. The toilets a very well maintained and some pitches are fully serviced which is a bonus. We felt very welcomed and enjoyed our stay enormously. We will return again soon.

Enjoyable Stay

Nice friendly welcome from Lynne , everything explained and pointed out , we were the only ones on site (October 2020) so loads of choice of pitch . Plumped for hardstanding given the time of year but all pitches neat and flat , and most had their own water . Don't understand previous reviewers comments as all taps clearly marked and free of hoses of any kind ? . Elsan point separate with own rinse tap by waste bins behind toilets . Toilets clean and tidy . Well placed for Malvern Hills , 3 Counties showground , beautiful surrounding countryside and on edge of Cotswolds . Great chippy in Upton 5 mins away . Will definitely be back .

A great CL, only one reservation

Last week we received a relaxed and friendly welcome on arrival. There was a choice of five hardstanding and five grass pitches. It is a very accessible site with a quiet field with horses in fenced off area. The hardstanding pitches are grouped around a barn/stable block. We had a very enjoyable week there although we did have one reservation. The water tap (sign ‘Drinking water’) and the area around it is used by the owners to clean the horses mucking out equipment. There isn’t a drain and the equipment is cleaned either beneath the tap or with a hosepipe. The owners leave the hosepipe connected after they have used it; this means members have to use both hands to disconnect it. While chatting to the owner I pointed out the hygiene implications regarding this area but she didn’t appear concerned and referred me to a second tap on the other side of the stable. When I found this tap but it wasn’t labelled and had an even dirtier hose connected to it. I wouldn’t have recorded these comments had I received a more positive comment to my observations. This problem could be easily and cheaply solved and then Herbert's Field would be a great CL.

Not as expected

I know dogs are welcome but 3 units arrived together, built a temporary dog compound around 6m x 8m, complete with gate and let their 8 dogs run free, play and bark (from 7:30am). Then there was the noise all day from the very nearby gun club. We never met the owners so unable to mention the above comments. Otherwise a lovely location!

Glad to be back

Our second time at this CL and glad to be back. Our first trip out since lockdown so requested additional days which were readily agreed. The CL is a large grass field with hard standings available, 16A ehu and water to many of the pitches. Upton Upon Severn is within a few minutes with very nice river side bars and restaurants. The toilets were shut for obvious reasons although happy to use our own facilities. Lynne (the owner) was friendly and accommodating. Sitting in the sun on the lovely CL was bliss after months of domestic isolation. Recomended.

Can’t wait to return

Just spent a week here. What an absolute jewel. So dog friendly, in fact one of the most dog friendly places we have found. So many walks from the site, great local pubs, so scenic. Quiet, and so spacious. Just lovely. David and Lynne are so friendly and relaxed. All sites should be like this.

Good Site - Easy Access

We've stayed here three times now. Owners are friendly and welcoming. The access to the site is good. There are some hard standings and some grass pitches, two of which have their own tap. There are toilets on site Ladies and Gents which are kept clean. The pitches are level, which makes setting up easier. Always a pleasant site to visit. Will stay again.

Great CL

Just had a great two week stay at Herberts Field. June was not great weather wise this year but having the hardstanding pitches meant there were no problems. Lynne and Dave are lovely and you will see them most days tending to their two ponies in the paddock. Facilities are good, nice and clean with handwash etc provided. Plenty of freshwater points, 2 grey waste points, chemical toilet point and waste bins. The description and pictures on the club website could be updated however, as half the 5 acres is now taken up with a paddock and jump area for the two ponies. Still plenty of room though and a choice of 5 grass and 7 hardstanding pitches.

Nice site - we stayed early April 2019.

Hard standing pitches and electric hooks. OK toilets. Even a lock on the gate for campers only. Good for bike rides - access to some good routes.
