Stayed here several times over the years because it is a good stopover before Shrewsbury folk festival but it is also so handy to go to Haughmond Abbey (just by walking across the neighbouring field), which is well worth a visit. Previous reviewers mention road noise but cannot say that we have ever noticed it. Reasonably busy in the day but certainly OK at night. The site is an area with apple trees. Quite small, compared with some sites, but I am surprised at reviews suggesting you are on top of each other. You can space yourself around the field as the pitches are not fixed. The owner is friendly and, should you have a problem, lives on site.
