A real find

Stayed last week (w/c 25/8/14) on our first caravan trip this year and what a great find. Tranquil, beautifully kept, lovely welcome and assistance without being obtrusive. Great for the dog, with ease of access to local walks but also other lovely areas to visit close by. Met a number of people who had been before and who couldn't wait to come back - we intend to be one of that group as we are rescheduling our calendar to get back again this year!

Relaxing weekend....

Have just returned from a weekend @ Hard Farm CL. The field is flat & very spacious with un-interrupted peace. Angela came out to meet us on arrival with a warm welcome & the offer of tea/coffee. Later also providing us with a pack on places of local interest. Angela is also happy for you to park your van at whatever angle you wish! We could happily walk our dog from the van along a quiet track where one evening we spotted in the distance 2 large female deer. Amazing! Would recommend this site to everyone looking for tranquility as long as you are aware there are no showers/toilets. Vodafone mobile signal a little hit & miss! We'll definitely return for a longer period especially as we live in South Norfolk & this is in North Norfolk.

Peacefull Site

Visited just after August Bank Holiday. Met by Angela who offered lovely cup of tea. Site is mown grass with water, waste and dry waste easily accessible. Did not want to leave but had to return home. It is a very quite site until the RAF decide to put on a show but it all adds to the atmosphere. We could hear owls in the evenings. A truely oasis site which we will visit again and possibly meet caravanners who were there with us as they all said a return was definitely on the cards.

Simply wonderful

A warm welcome and great pack with all things local in it given to us on arrival. A huge field well maintained all grass cut to perfection and the elsan and water point were very clean. We stayed for 4 nights and loved it, the site is a credit to the owners and thank you for your hospitality. My brother and sister in law came and pitched a small tent next to us the owners again were more than accomodating. Like the previous review no raod noise very peaceful indeed. The one thing I can say is that on this holiday we used a mix of CC sites/CL sites and commercial sites. I do not think I will ever stay on a commercial site again having experienced the cleanliness and almost perfection of club sites and CL's.

Did not want to leave

What a lovely site. We normally would not stay on a grass pitch, we prefer hardstanding, but this was no hardship at all. Very peaceful could only hear the birds, no road noise or any other. Lots of space between the pitches, would recommend this site.

Wonderful little hideaway!!

This site is a hidden gem within easy reach of some of norfolks finest villages and beaches. This was our first visit to Norfolk and the pack that Angela provides with places of interest was really helpful. We arrived in blazing heat after a long journey to a really warm welcome from Angela and a very welcome glass of squash!! Our fridge then decided to give up the ghost and Angela couldn't do enough to help us and even made space in one of her spare fridges to save our food. The site is well kept and very peaceful and tranquil and we have had a very relaxing week with some of our best weather this year. If you are looking for some great pub grub in relaxing surroundings then the anchor inn in Morston is definitely worth a visit. We cannot recommend this site highly enough and will be back next year. Thank you Angela. Helen and Phil Silverman

A peaceful site within easy reach of Norfolk's best beaches

We arrived at Spring Bank 2013 to a warm and friendly welcome from Angela. After a nice coffee we set up on a large pitch with plenty of space for the car and the dogs. The site is on a quiet farm with no traffic noise and very few people around. There are walks straight off the farm. The village is a short walk away and within 2 miles there's a butcher, a pub and a small village shop which sells everything you need! The butchers even doubles as a gun shop! The hosts, Angela and George are really friendly and the welcome pack contains all the information you need for a great stay. We came here for the beaches at Wells and Holkham Hall, which are about 20 minutes drive away, along with the peace and quiet of the Norfolk countryside. It's a great place to relax and enjoy your surroundings, especially if like us you live in a town. We stayed for 7 nights and would have stayed longer but for work! Thoroughly recommended. Will definitely be back. Keith and Christine

A real treat if peace is what you are looking for!

Having seen in on the club website that Hard Farm, Holt, Norfolk is new, we decided to book our first trip of the year to the site. We have not been disappointed! On arrival, the first person we saw was Mrs Harcourt (Angela) who was on the CL talking to the owners of a van already on site. She immediately made us feel at home and enquired as to how we had found our journey etc. We were able to tell her that due to the extremely clear instructions that she had supplied by email, we had had no problems whatsoever. We were then offered a cup of tea which is the first time that's happened in over 20years of caravanning - a really nice touch. While she went off to make the tea we chose our pitch which are all well spaced and maintained. On returning with that refreshing cup of tea, she handed us a well stocked folder full of information regarding the local attractions in the area. The site has 5 double EHU points, is flat and to grass which we happen to prefer. The site is on the edge of the village of Field Dalling, which is about 5 miles from Holt, although Holt is the postal address. It is a very peaceful site with birdsong being the main 'disturbance' This is definately farming country. The site is accessed via a long drive off a minor road and is the last property along the drive so a feeling of security is enhanced. It is obvious that the owners have put many hours into getting this CL up and running and it shows. The grass is well maintained and the scars of the EHUs instalation have almost disappeared. The site is planted with shrubs and bushes and in a couple of years time will no doubt be a really nice feature. The facilities of, Water, Chemical disposal and rubbish (with recycling) are all in a line at the rear of a holiday let which you have to drive past the front of then turn left up the side of before entering the site which also gives a feeling of 'safety'. Mrs Harcourt is keen on recycling 10 out of 10 there then! The village of Binham with it's old Priory is about an hour away by foot. It's a pleasant walk and is flat! The Priory is very interesting and was a victim of the disolution of the monasteries in the 1500's. However, a visit is highly recommended. A general store, which seems to sell just about everything you could possibly want, a quality butchers and the Village Pub which serves meals of various descriptions complete the picture. If you don't want to walk, it's 5 mins by car. We will definately return to this site in the future as North Norfolk is our favourite destination. Wildlife in abundance with rabbit, muntjack deer and many bird species seen during our relatively short stay.  We wish Mr and Mrs Harcourt many years of success with their beautiful and peaceful CL.
