Bellingham Bliss

We arrived for the start of our 2 week holiday and were immediately made welcome by Alan and his wife Sarah. Our pitch overlooked the whole valley and the hills beyond, a spectacular 360 degree view. In July, there was very little traffic, loads to do within a short drive and the village of Bellingham is perfection in miniature, everything you could want, including a second-hand book shop,a fabulous pub with fantastic food, the Cheviot Hotel, a great hardware shop and the locals made us so welcome. There is also a lovely picnic area and riverside walk. We will be back! Tony & Karen Henderson.

wonderfull wild site.

We arrived and reversed onto hardstanding, hooked up with south facing outlook and were watching Pointless with a glass of wine within 5min! Perfect freeview reception. As oap's we were very happy with the whole site. After a week or so of heavy rain in our area it was muddy but a large towel in door way kept most of the dogs footprints away from upholstery. We live only 20 miles south of here but it is worth getting into the hills for the joy of the views. Site was dead level and we needed no ramps. Hook up and water in easy reach. Lovely people at farm. We will surely be back again. Roddy

Rain rain go away !

Lovely people, adequate site, appalling weather. Motorhome sank to axle, upon arrival! Owner’s son was very helpful, but by the time we got out (utilising his tractor) we were covered in mud... the motorhome was covered in mud, the dog was covered, the interior was covered, the awning.... (I think you get where I'm coming from). Pitches are quite close to the road & whilst it’s not the M1 the traffic is fairly constant (as it’s on the middle of a long hill the motorbikes drone past constantly during the day). I'm sure it’s better in the dry

Peace and quiet

The amount of rain that we had did not do this site justice. The views were great, a little bit of road noise, but traffic is very light. We thought it was very good and would definitely return. It is a little out of the way for some perhaps, but that is what makes it ideal if you want peace and quiet.
