Early Summer visit to Greenpark

This fine CL is situated about 3 mls outside of Banchory, on Royal Deeside, along a side road of decent width, so no problems with traffic. This very peaceful, well sheltered site has 5 large Hardstanding, serviced pitches, toilets and free shower and all for £12pn. There are also 5 pods and 4 cabins on the site but we were not bothered by excessive noise from those that were occupied. There is an old abandoned railway line opposite the gate which leads into Brathens Woods and is ideal for walking ones dog(s). There are lots of places of interest in the area to suit all taste. Numerous castles, Crathes & Drum being the closest, Balmoral is about 30 mls away and beyond that there's Braemar and Glen Shee. Scolty Tower, behind Banchory makes for a pleasant although steepish walk and for the more adventurous the Cairngorm Hills are quite close. For the cyclist there's the Deeside way, which in part utilises the old railway line from Aboyne to Ballater. Banchory has both a Tesco and Morrisons and both have petrol filling stations, as well as the usual tourist shops and cafes etc. We would certainly not hesitate to use this site again.

Well appointed site

Just spent 2 nights at this CL apart from the weather which was abismal we had a relaxing stay. There was only 2 caravans and us in a motorhome so it was quiet but there are wigwams dotted around which when busy could get a little noisy. The reason We like cl sites is there are usually only 5 units but with the addition of holiday lodges and the wigwams we probably wouldn't go back, but if you are aware of the extra units and don't mind it is a lovely site with 3 toilets and showers which were clean and we had WIFI which we put a pound in the box for as it suggested 50p. The pitches are large and have electric, your own water and drainage so overall a good site

A nice well kept site

A nice quiet site and very reasonable priced. Site is well maintained and with very clean, all serviced pitches. There is even wifi at 50p per night which was a bonus as phone signal was very poor. Nice area for walking although we didn't do much. There are even wigwam huts on site to rent but could do with a coat of paint to make them look better, and a river running close to site. Toilets and shower were clean and tidy. Will definitely stay again if up here this way.

Lovely

Thank you to David for the welcome and a well kept site. A great area for dog walking and a lovely 2 mile round walk just outside the gate. Simple!

What a gem

This site is excellent, we stayed only two nights as touring but we would have no hesitation in stopping here for a lot longer if this way again.  The owner was very friendly and as previously stated keeps the whole site immaculate. Anyone with family wishing to accompany them the lodges are beautiful, the whole site is kept in excellent condition.

Perfect CL

Have just returned from an 8 night stay at this wonderful CL. As stated by previous reviewers the CL really has everything you could ask for. The access road to the CL is tarmaced, no pot holes here! The owners work very hard to keep everything in pristine condition. The town of Banchory has a Tesco and a Morrison for fuel and groceries, there are also various local shops, including an award winning bakery and a fabulous garden centre which has a restaurant and a cafe. If you are a member of the National Trust you will be spoiled for choice as there are so many Trust properties in the area worth a visit. The CL has a two mile circular walk which is ideal for exercising dogs off lead. We had a great holiday here and hope to visit again soon.

Fantastic value For Money Site

Managed to book 7 days at this popular site and can fully understand why it's sought after. Big h/s pitches which have 16amp ehu and fully serviced.Add in the toilet / shower block and all for £10 per night makes this a fantastic value for money site. Despite all the pitches being occupied and most of the cabins also having guests the site was still very quiet and peaceful. Will certainly be returning frequently assuming we can get booked.

If only...

...we lived nearer ! A beautiful site, and even though we were right next to the log pod on the top level and it was occupied (as was the cabin nearby) we were not disturbed at all. Our visit was in term time of course so perhaps that helped but if we lived nearer we would definitely visit again and again and having the pods available we could take our family too !
