A warm welcome awaits you at Greenacres
We spent a week at Greenacres over Christmas and New Year and although the weather was miserable (as it was everywhere else) the welcome was far from that. Linda and Martin are to lovely people who make you feel at home immediately. There is nothing that they wouldn't do to make your stay perfect. The lawned area for pitching was lovely but at the time too wet to pitch on but during the summer would be perfect. The hardstandings were a bit narrow but Martin said that he is going to widen them as soon as the weather allows him to do so.
The weather was bad but the great view we got of Barn Owls every day more than made up for that. Some great photo opportunities as they perch very close to the site. There are plenty of bridle paths for walking to the beach and also it is in close proximity to many places including Blackpool and the Lakes is not far away so a good base to travel from as well.
There is fresh water easily available, waste and recycling and also a toilet and washing up facilities which is situated through a gate in the stables (this gave me an opportunity to give Boris and Asterix the horse and pony owned by Linda and Martin, a stroke with their permission of course).
All in all a lovely CL site and we would definitely be going back again.
