Great welcome and a stunning view
We stayed here with our dog over the Bank Holiday weekend and were given a great welcome by Neil, who helped us out with chocks as we weren't quite prepared for the slope (it being only our second venture out since returning to caravanning after a long break).
The site has a panoramic view of Mounts Bay, with St Michael's Mount taking centre stage. The well kept field overlooks its own dog walking field which has a mown path around the edge so that you can walk your pooch easily. We didn't go but gather that there is an off-road walk to the local village pub about a mile down the hill from the site. We need to go back to do that!
From here you can easily access the local area, including St Ives, Gwithian, Penzance, Lands End and that part of the coast.
The site is beautifully kept and has a tea room open in the summer (we need to go back!)
You will probably hear some road noise from the road behind the site but we were pitched right against that hedge so further down the site might reduce this. It was very quiet at night and the skies are dark too, great for star-gazers.
