A Lovely Stay
We only ended up here by chance, we wanted to visit Bath Christmas Market and we left it too late to book anywhere nearer! However, it was clearly our lucky day as we loved this site and will definitely return. Communications with the host were great, and we were generally left alone to do our own thing, just as we like it.
We were recommended to bring wellies, but even after the amount of rain we'd had recently we didn't need them as we stayed at the top of the field, it would probably have been soggier further down. We saw a couple of deer prancing round the field a couple of times!
The bit of the field we were on had quite a slope and I had to use my big levelling ramp to its fullest height, but that isn't a criticism - it has to be expected on a CL - just intended as a useful note for future visitors. I could have avoided the need if I'd rotated the caravan through 90 degrees, but it was my choice to be across the slope.
A couple of previous reviewers have mentioned access - yes the lane is narrow, the bridge especially so, but we got through without any trouble. Possibly the trees would overhang the lane a bit more in the summer but even then I wouldn't expect any difficulty.
Final comment - read the recommended access route in the site description and follow it! There are some road closures nearby that satnavs don't seem to know about yet, but the recommended route is fine.
