Tranquil site

This site is a very basic CL - no EHU, water across the road and a rough field with no marked pitches. It was fine for a one night stop over but a bit isolated if you want plenty of local activity. As there is no EHU there is no demarcation between pitches which could be a problem if you arrive and there are 3 or 4 'vans randomly sited. The local pub recently reopened and serves reasonable food. The owners were friendly, and our only criticism was the access to the site; it really needs a CL sign on the wall leading into the field. As we were the only 'van on site when we arrived there was nothing to indicate this was the CL. The access is a sharp right turn off the road up an immediate steep slope between two stone walls into a gated field. We have a short 'van but a long one would possibly have the rear end in the road while the 'van owner opened the gate. As it was, I overshot the entrance by a few yards (the name is on the farm building on the other side of the road) and had to reverse back down the road. A CL sign on each wall where it can be seen from the road should be put in place as a matter of safety as soon as possible.
