The directions on this website, and on information supplied by the owner, have been outdated by events. In late May 2014 the signs for 'Green Heat Hut Co' have been painted out. The building looks like a derelict petrol station. Also, take great care when entering or exiting the site, it's tight for a long van, our 24 footer just fitted.
A minor note. There was no sign of the owner at any time during our stay. We had no warning that there had been no tap water for several days before we arrived. Campers climbed a hill and baled water into their Aquaroll from a fairly deep reservoir. We contacted the owner, who we understand lives near Manchester, she was a bit vague about the repair of a failed water pump and suggested we boiled the reservoir water. Not too much trouble for a few days but it would have been good to be warned before travelling.
Enjoy the site and the lovely walks direct from your pitch.
A delightful CL
We love this CL. It is so peaceful. To sit and take in the views from the seat on the little garden walk is a delight. There are walks from the site that are easy and flat or really testing like doing a circular trek taking in the summit of Cadair Idris, the choice is yours. Take the car and the choice of beautiful places to visit are numerous, mountains and coast are all easily accessible.
Lovely site in really scenic area
Pitches well spaced out. Easy access to facilities water etc. Views from site good and it is really easy to relax on this site. There is a nice (short) walk around a small lake nearby. Plenty of walking opportunities from site. The excellent Mawdach estuary is close by. Highly recommended. We have stayed at this site several times and this site will remain on our list of sites to come back to.
Peaceful spacious site
Stayed 5 nights, quiet spacious grass pitches, lake nearby and hotel on lake within 10 minutes walk. Climbed Caider Idris from the site, stunning views. Lovely walk from the site over fields about a mile and a half to Dollgellau with tea shops etc. parked at nearby train station for Cambrian train to Pwhelli, crosses Barmouth bridge with lovely views en-route, hop on/off ticket £10. Recommend the Mawdach trail, we biked from Barmouth to Dollgellau (12miles) either way.

A true gem
We chose this site by location as it was within walking distance of Cadair Idris.
Worth every penny, clean, tables on grass, fantastic views with an extra field with more views and dog walking.
Pitches are level with field sloping up behind you, this gave shelter from the strong wind while we were there. Will use again next time we are in the area.
