Good access to Clapham & various walks
We stayed for 4 nights at Giffords at the end of May 2017.
We concur with the previous reviews – a super CL, all hardstanding with EHU close by and front row views of Ingleborough [in the foreground] & Pen-y-Ghent [in the distance].
One review states that there is a pot wash in the open barn but that is actually the Chemical Disposal Point and I think the wood blocks were the owners firewood!!
The site is actually on the border of the Yorkshire Dales & the Forest of Bowland and thus you have access to two different areas.
One minus point [which is really no fault of the site] is that it is about 1.5 miles south of Clapham village itself. Thus, if walking into the Yorkshire Dales and not wanting to move the motorhome, you needed to add on 3 miles to your intended walk distance!
Clapham has a community shop & pub, so you are well served with refreshments post walk.
Overall a great site with friendly & obliging owners.
