Good location for exploring north Norfolk

Site generally good. Although protected from the sea side by trees exposure to strong wind is unavoidable. The CL section is only about ½ acre rather than 3 acres as mentioned in site features; this did not make us feel closed in but I could imagine that being right next to a lot of tents in the summer could make it quite noisy. The CL is fenced off from the tent section. There was a nice surprise of internet access for 50p per day, but this is only accessible from the reception area or just outside it. The owner was of great assistance during my friend’s illness.

It is a very good location for seeing north Norfolk, very close to many attractions including the Tank Museum next door, the steam railway at Sheringham and National Trust properties such as Sheringham Park and Blickling Hall. There are some gorgeous sandy beaches around the area which includes Holkham Hall.

If accessing from Cromer direction watch out for the sign for Muckleburgh Tank Museum, Foxhills is off the same entrance, it is like doing a ‘U’ turn, we used the wide entrance to the tank museum to manoeuvre this.
