So peaceful!

This is a very peaceful site in a good location for visiting places of interest. The pitches are large, fully serviced and the whole site is surrounded by countryside, so the views were good. The local churches at Wittersham and Appledore had flower festivals the week we visited, which were lovely. Great Dixter and Smallhythe Place which were worth a visit, but Godinton Park and Hole Park were wonderful and highly recommended. Due to visiting friends we also went a bit further and visited Leeds Castle but were glad of our 241 Gardeners World voucher as £31 each was a bit steep. The Bull Inn at Rolvenden was very good, and also the tapas at the Ancient Boro in Tenterden. The local Wittersham Village Store sells the most delicious home made samosas and onion bhajis, but get there early or they sell out. There are also curries in the freezer which we didn't get to try. Next time!! The owners were very pleasant and chatty, and we really appreciated the book shed and tourist info, which on many sites is no longer available following Covid. There was also an excellent information pack - everything was very well organised!
