Not a great site, find elsewhere!

This is NOT a campsite but a working farm. I visited this site at Easter, but I seemed to be the only person here. As advertised there are no facilities at all, except a cold water tap by the horses. Not easy to find, I found what I thought was the place with old caravans, but fortunately John came and got me and we drove the hilly bumpy track to the site. I 'pitched' next to the horses. Nowhere close to walk to with facilities so I drove to Tesco to get tea. I had a quiet night but left early the following morning, I won't be back.

10 minute ride on No8 bus to calshot beech gives access to a lovely walk along the sea front of about 1 mile. At the end is the lifeboat station and a big sports hall within what was at one time a passenger seaplane base. There is a restaurant there with outside seating overlooking the Solent and marine traffic ( if the weather is goog) serving good quality food at reasonable prices.
