We stayed at Firs Cottage from Friday 23 to Sunday 25th June and had a warm welcome from the new owners, Alison and Brian. It has easy access, is well sheltered by hedges and the grass is mown short and all the clippings collected, especially important if you have dogs who seem to collect grass on their fur/feet and carry it into the van. There is an information hut with a selection of leaflets and walks, which was very useful. We will definitely be returning, where we hope to spend more time exploring this fascinating area.
