Brilliant CL

Easy access from the main road which is a big plus for a CL. Very warm welcome from Jill and Ian which is a nice change from some we have stayed on recently where we never saw anyone. The pitches are massive and each one has it's own electric and water supply. The electricity is metered and charged at cost. This seems a fair way of doing things given the rocketing price of electricity. The directions both to the site and leaving the site were very good and should be followed carefully. We stayed on the site for eleven nights and found it very peaceful and an excellent base for West Cornwall. We walked to St Michel's Mount from the site and also walked to Porth Leven. There is a nice beach close by at Perranuthnoe which is an easy walk or there is a good cheap car park there if walking is a problem. Nice swimming at Prussia Cove. N.T. car park is small, but again it is not too far to walk from the site. The north coast of Cornwall is only 12 miles away. There is a free car park on the edge of Helston down by the boating lake giving access to the Penrose Estate and the path to Loe Bar. The Blue Anchor in Helston is worth a visit if you like really old pubs and good beer. We would certainly recommend the site and hopefully we will return.
