A very well maintained and peaceful CL

This is a really nice CL, 4 grass pitches and up to 2 hard standing, pitches are all level and grass is very well kept. Access is easy, but stick to the main B roads to get to Covington - there are two 'short cuts' that look good on a map, but are single track with few passing options and in poor condition. Access is controlled by an electric gate with key code. We had zero noise from the farm business on site during our stay. there are walks possible direct rom the CL field and locally there are a wealth of good qualtiy foot/bridlepaths. We loved the peace and quiet and the site itself and facilities (can't comment on the shower and toilet, which were closed due to CoVid) were very well kept.

Beautiful Clean Tidy Site

We stayed here in October 2019 and arrived in the dark we were met cheerfully and shown where to pitch. In the morning we could see the site ! and were happy with our choice. The site is very well maintained, clean and peaceful but no views, there is a clearing in the far hedge to enable you to get to countryside to walk and let the dog do a late night tiddle. Only one other unit there when we were so no queuing for the toilet or shower which were always clean, there were too many do and don't signs for our liking but didn't spoil our stay.Lovely countryside for walking and cycling.

Lovely relaxing CL

We were looking for a "local CL" for those short, last minute weekend breaks and found this wonderful site on the Club CL's pages. (We were very lucky to get the last pitch due to a cancellation, so would recommend booking in advance) Lovely warm welcome from the host on arrival at a very well maintained site with a shower room and separate W/C. The site has 4 grass pitches and a large gravel pitch (Which suited us perfectly for our Motor Home). Fairy's Lodge Farm is very quiet at weekends as the site is well away from any main roads but please remember this is a working farm should you be staying during the week. Wonderful dog walks over the fields with a great country pub about 1 hour's walk away. We will be returning and highly recommend this site to club members.

quiet, secure and clean

i have yet to come across a bad CL site and so my review has to be super critical. firstly, a superb site, tucked behind the main farmhouse, with a stable of two beautiful horses, to the right of the site gate, welcoming you. very, very clean, level and excellent dog walks straight out of the site, i set off early one morning and walked about a mile to the local church and back without hearing or seeing a car. i find it hard to find fault but, should i need to, they would simply be no views as a lovely woodland pitch (is that a negative point?), and only one shower and loo, so possibly a short wait for one or the other. however i haven't marked the site down on these points, merely passing on these facts. you will not be disappointed if you use this site, and. like us, will return.

Beautiful CL

Just returned from a wonderful Easter weekend at this site. I have to say it is one of the best CL sites we have been to. Everything and everywhere was spotlessly clean. It was so quiet and peaceful with wonderful walks and things to see and do right on the doorstep. the shower and toilet were a real treat to have and kept immaculately.

Lovely CL

We had a lovely holiday here. Toilet and shower are clean. There are some footpaths directly from the site which are great for dog walking. Well kept throughout and the lady was welcoming and friendly. Some lovely country parks and places to visit nearby too. We did get woken by some noise from the barn next door at 6:30am which wasn’t ideal, but it is a working farm......

Another wonderful break

Returned from another stay at the wonderful Fairy's Lodge Farm CL. Peaceful, level site with excellent facilities. The surrounding area has several small market towns in the Cambridgeshire / Northamptonshire / Bedfordshire area. If anyone visits the lovely market town of Higham Ferrers, try to visit the Coffee Bourne coffee shop, which also does light lunches and afternoon tea - which has to be ordered 24 hours in advance, as everything is bought fresh. All in all, can thoroughly recommend this wonderful CL and the surrounding area. Our fourth time here, and we shall return again.

Excellent 5 STAR

Excellent site. Exceptionally clean and extremely welcoming. A perfect week. Some lovely country parks nearby and walks from the farm. Excellent amenities, very clean shower and toilet. Fresh water and grey waste/toilet waste area. Plenty of rubbish bins and recycling bins. A beautiful horse and gorgeous pony our son and daughter enjoyed saying hello to. Very peaceful area. We even heard a woodpecker one morning! Secure site with entry code and additional gate to the Caravan and motorhome area. A mixture of grass and hard standing pitches. A lovely information shed with local maps and leaflets. Very friendly owners. Dogs welcomed. Our puppy Max loved staying here and meeting the owners dogs.
