We were looking for a site close to home to try our new caravan.
So I decided to book Elmdale, its 5 minutes down the road and a friend of mine used to stay here about 10 years ago.
Booking was easy via email with Katy and completed via making a bank transfer.
Access to the site is easy, via a long drive then a left turn into the field. I was on a grass pitch with EHU, which was fairly flat and took a minimal amount of leveling. Water taps were plentyful around the site and the Elsan point was away from the pitches and fenced off. The bin was on the entrance to the site.
There are a couple of vans which looked like they were perminately pitched, and the guy in the one van was chatty and informative when I arrived.
The site is quite but you can hear the occasional car when at night.
Studley is within easy walking distance with shops pubs and taphouses. There are also some lovely walks around Spernall and the Heart of England Forest which are within walking distance.
If you are looking for a weekend break or a stopover this is ideal and easily reached from junction 3 of the M42 down the A435.
As a previous post has stated the hardstanding isn't like the club site hardstanding.
Over all I enjoyed it and I would stay again.
Great Place
This was a lovely pretty well kept site, with lovely freshly planted flower pots. John was on site when we arrived and showed us round the site and provided information regarding shops, cafes, pubs and local walks. He was very friendly and accommodating, he even laid mats down the side of our motorhome as it had previously been raining. This is a lovely peaceful site we would definitely recommend and will not hesitate to return to in the future. Many thanks Kenny an Carolyn

Dissapointing
We checked that we could arrive after 6pm which wasn't a problem for the owners which was good. We asked for a hardstanding pitch but unfortunately the hardstanding here was nothing like we have had on other sites. It was a 'pitch' inside the entrance and we would be in the middle, it seemed more like the entrance drive rather than an actual pitch. We had both 'pitches' next to us occupied - one being a caravan and a large transit work van that needed to have their electricity hookup cable go across our front door. Have never been anywhere where we had to have other peoples electric run directly across our entrance.
Luckily we decided not to take our awning as it would have been on the grass and the actual hardstanding part was covered in mud and water - there had been a lot of rain though so this cant be helped but other dedicated hardstanding pitches we have been on have been solid and allowed for drainage.
The gate to the field was open at all times, on several occasions there were cars turning up to the site so it felt very unsecure. There is a large caravan storage site along the same entrance way to the caravan site so there were often people arriving and people standing in the lane outside of the gate. There was also a permanent van on the site and different cars and people turning up, again we have never encountered this at any other CL we have visited.
Perhaps in the summer when you can choose to be on grass the site would feel better - not having others cables on your pitch, but the security aspect would still be an issue for us. There is no form of recycling - only general waste, again this is normally standard at other CL's we have visited.
The road noise was not an issue for us despite being near a busy road. The grass was kept short but being mowed and clippings not collected meant grass got everywhere - caravan, car etc. Being one of the more expensive sites we have stayed at it was rather disappointing.
Relaxing
We have stayed here twice in July as a "one night stopover" on our way to and from the South coast from our home in Yorkshire.
Both times we were greeted by John and Katy who couldn't have been more helpful.
The site is so relaxing and laid back and, as my family live in Redditch, it is ideally situated for us.
Studley is a 15 - 20 minute walk away or an easy cycle ride and has a number of pubs, supermarkets etc.
The site itself is absolutely flat and the grass and tree areas are beautifully kept.
Access is easy via a surfaced drive.
Alcester is a short drive away and Stratford a little further but both are easy accessible on main roads.
We will certainly be regular visitors in our motorhome in the future.

Peaceful Gem
This was our first stay on a CL and we were very impressed with the friendly welcome from John and Katy. The site is nicely situated on the outskirts of Studley and within easy walking distance to the pubs and restaurants. The site is well kept and is a very peaceful place to relax. We will be back.
Hidden Gem
We have been caravanning for over 30 years and use mainly CL sites, this site is one of the best most friendly and welcoming we felt really at home right away so did our dog. There are lots of interesting places to visit not to far away and good walks from the site some traffic noise but not intrusive. This site will be on our favourite list we cant wait to return.
