Just had a 4 night stay at what is probably one of the most peaceful sites I think we've ever had the pleasure of visiting. An odd car passes the site each day, you will not be disturbed. A friendly welcome from Malcolm who provided a detailed hand written "Places of Interest" sheet. Grass pitches, grass is extremely well kept, short and no clippings. Levelling blocks needed as pitches do slope. Electric hook up and each pitch has access to drinking water, if not on your pitch, a splitter is on the tap on the next pitch so you can still connect up your water hose (might need an extension). Chemical waste disposal and recycling available. Wonderful views of fields and mountains in the distance and some beautiful sunsets. The turn onto the lane which runs up to the site is on a very tight hairpin junction, we decided not to take the turn with the caravan but instead headed further into the village and turned round. The lane is single track but not difficult to navigate and there are some passing places, if you meet anything coming along the lane you will be very unlucky! Highly recommend this site if you're looking for a relaxing, peaceful stay.
Fantastic stay
What a fabulous welcome - really friendly and informative. Such a peaceful, lovely site with views, walks and a pub within reasonable distance. Defo be back!! Thanks so much.
Excellent CL
This CL is brilliant, large pitches, water tap for each pitch, but the Best is the views from this CL ,who could ask for more. The grass is kept short &cuttings are cleared up,(unlike some sites we have stayed on),Malcolm is is very friendly giving you his knowledge of the area of were to visit, on a helpful sheet he has printed off. Be sure you follow his directions, don't go through Alnwick , would definitely return.

a good site
Malcolm was on hand to give lots of local information and tips, with a comprehensive written informtion sheet. This is a site with excellent views to the far off hills. there was no problem with the grass pitches despite some very heavy rain whilst we were there. The facilities were good with individual water and power to each pitch. You must follow the route instructions in the handbook otherwise the turning onto the terrace is too sharp when towing, but its not a problem to continue to the nearby crossroads and turn round, then access is easy.

Idyllic
Malcolm gave us a lovely warm welcome with lots of tips on places to go. The site is so peaceful with fantastic views. No problems with the grass pitch despite the wet spring. There's lots to do in the area for everyone including from taking the dog to the beach to castles and walks. Watched the lambs being born in the field opposite .. spring's definately here at last. Had a superb meal in the local pub just a mile away.

Absolutely perfect
I couldn't agree more with previous reviewers, and one year later it is just as good. If you're lucky you will catch a marvellous sunset as you look out from your caravan window - great view all the time too. On arrival, we were given a very helpful list of places to visit (the well known and not known, except by locals) - with tips about parking, eating etc. This site is everything you expect from a CL - with short grass and grass clippings collected as well. With our caravan, we were advised to approach the village from the North and had no problem. This is a wonderful area with so much to see and do and with easy access in all directions.

Simply Stunning
We have just been blessed with 4 nights at this site. The location is great if you want to visit Northumberland's fabulous landmarks.
Flat pitches, with individual water taps. Fantastic views from every pitch. The owners have a great visitors guide, for all the little known places that are of interest. Fabulous pub a walk away. We will be back.
A little gem.
Fabulous 360° views, well cut grass, water on each pitch and friendly owners. Close to Alnwick and the amazing Northumbrian coast....
what's not to like. Had a 7 night stay and had a great time. We will be back.
Excellent CL in a lovely location
This is a lovely site, a generously sized and well kept field with far reaching views. Pitches benefit from some shade in the mornings and water to each pitch which is very welcome. The owners are very friendly and helpful, they're handy but never intruive, and it's a quiet and peaceful location but within 12 miles of the beautiful Northumberland coast and close to many other attractions. Dog walk from site, plenty of options for a local stroll or longer hike. We really enjoyed our stay here, it was mid August but you would not have known it was the middle of the school holidays as it's in such a quiet spot. A great place to chill out and relax. We would highly recommend and would definltely go back.
