We spent 5 nights here and really enjoyed the quiet surroundings. Pitches are well spaced and it was nice to be looking out at the grass and trees rather than other caravans. Excellent spot for coast or forest walk and we hope to return next year.
A quiet weekend.
Lovely site. Facilities were very clean. Bus stop right outside site. Good information room. Plough inn was great for food.
Mrs Bailey was very helpful.

Edengate
Pitches good and nicely separated. Good feeling of security as site is down long gated entrance - I felt happy to leave the van. Toilet facilities adequate for price paid - only used as backup. Ground is hard because of weather but steel pegs and hammer soon sorted the awning. Excellent dog walk for dog owners. Very pleasant adult only site. Have to drive to facilities - no walking - lanes narrow and no footpaths
However - I chose the pitch furthest from gate (no 6 I think) for privacy - but found that the boundary to the adjacent property was very close - it is some form of working wood yard with the consequent noises - chain saws, machinery etc. There were also 2 dogs that were left outside once working day finished. They barked each time they heard a noise from our pitch. I ended up trying to close doors etc quietly😩
I dont think that the other pitches would have had the same problem as they were a distance from the boundary. Other members may not be so bothered by noise but I felt I needed to bring it to the attention of those that, for whatever reason, are seeking peace and quiet.
A peaceful and relaxing site !
Many thanks for a most enjoyable week. Love your site, well set out. The shrubs between pitches give almost a garden feel, very nicely done. Clean facilities, what more could one ask for ? Hope to see you again. Good wishes, The Percivals
Hard standings
These pitches were indeed hard standing. In 30 years erecting an awning we have never had such as these. Despite pegs advertised as 'rock' pegs it was an horrendous job. Please be aware. I'm afraid this will deter us repeating a visit.

Bitter sweet memorys
We stayed here for a long week-end in May. The 'photo's really don't do it justice as the disused greenhouses are no longer there, new trees have been planted to replace them. We stayed in the woodland area and it was a little piece of heaven, I say bitter sweet memory's as this place was the last one our dog managed before he passed away but what a lovely place, he had a lovely enclosed dog walk where he could be off lead and trees to sit under when he got back. All facilities were excellent for a cl. We had a friendly pheasant who visited some nights and would eat out of our hand....not a good idea when you have working dogs who's job it is to pick them up! Lovely cycling to the sea or forest, this is one cl we would return to.
Very helpful owner
Lovely quiet location with private hard standing pitches.
Shower and toilets were kept very clean.
Bus stop just outside the site was ideal for traveling to lymington,Bournemouth and surrounding villages.
Would definatly recomend to friends.
Mrs Bailey was most helpful to us with our unfortunate car problems.
Would definitely return next season.

Bit tired
Found the site to be very quiet and peaceful with large pitches on hard standing which I found to be very sandy on pitch 6 my pegs would not stay in.
Bonus for the dog was a place for him to run.
Overall I found the site and facilities very tired looking and could do with updating
Lucky to get in
We rang on the off chance of getting in for two nights. The two nights we wanted were the only ones available - cannot say I am surprised. Cannot fault the site. Individual pitches separated by pampas grass and plants, a dog walking area, quiet... apart from the owls! Speaking to other visitors, most of them were regulars and seemed to spend a lot more than two days. We hope to be back... If we can get in!
Perfect site for peace and tranquility.
We were 3 motorhomes and were sited in Woodland area which was perfect for privacy. No noise. Showers and toilets are a little dated but perfectly clean and tidy. Would defiantly visit again. Mrs Bailey very friendly and helpful with local knowledge. Lovely cycle into the forest at Sethorns and onto Lymington although some road cycling but mostly paths. Best CL ever!
