What a gem. Friendly owner to meet us to a lovely site. The negative points made are a bit trivial considering the positive points. The water is a bit slow but so what. The chemical disposal is as described but is spotless and the recycling is spot on.. There is no doubt in my mind that we will be back, We cant wait.
What can one say, perfect & tranquil. Close access to A1 & coast. No issues with site access, water pressure or fine example of ridge & farrow in Center of CL. I would certainly recommend & will be returning soon.
Thank you Joan for a nice weeks holiday.
A very quiet and friendly CL. Access from the A1 to the site could be a bit of a challenge for some, as is the gate in and out of the site (clearing back the hedgerow would help). Owners not around when we arrived or left so relied on other members to advise where best to pitch etc. The site is very uneven and you will ground your van as you cross it - finding a level pitch isn't easy! Waste disposal is rather basic (lift up a manhole cover and tip it straight into the drain) and water pressure is low. But having said all that it's very quiet and very well placed to visit the stunning surroundings of Northumberland. Everyone we met on the site was very friendly and we had a very enjoyable weeks holiday.
Lovely site very peaceful. Friendly owners. The ground is uneven but you can pitch anywhere you want so you can find a level bit. The water pressure isn't brilliant but for £10 a night you can't complain. The approach is quite narrow in places but it's not far from the A1.Would stay here again
This is how all CL's should be. A warm welcome, well kept grass and loads of room between pitches. My wife had a stroke earlier this year and just one week and she is a different woman. Looking forward to coming again soon God willing.
We programmed our satnav which took us to the wrong location; we were not far from the site however please beware of this as we had to reverse our motorhome in a tight area. When we arrived on site it was pouring with rain. We tried to park on the grass but we would have got waterlogged. We met the owners who were a lovely couple and they advised us to park the motorhome next to the house which was hardstanding and had water/electricity points. There are plenty of walks. I would certainly revisit the site again but it would be in the summer.
Just spent seven nights here, very peaceful . Easy access, well maintained site. Pitch where you like, plenty of power points. Just beware the undulating parts. You can even see the sea and lighthouse from some parts. Friendly welcome. Beautiful coast is just minutes away. A bit further the Northumbrian national park. In all a very good week and hopefully will return.
