5 day stay at East Farm

The site was easy enough to find, but don't follow the Satnav route, or you will end up coming in across the neighbouring Farmers Farm Yard. I guess being in the countryside, alongside a working Farm, you expect Cows to moo at 6am in the morning ... bit noisier than Cockerels, and is a little too close to the A370 and it's traffic to score too highly on the tranquillity section. As the previous report mentioned, the site was a bit muddy on the entrance, and like a lot of sites, when the grass is cut and is not collected, it produces large clumps of brown mess around the field, and also results in grass being trodden into your caravan. The toilet block would benefit from having a sink to wash your hands in. We didn't see the owners, other than to pay George after we arrived, and I briefly saw what I assumed was Sarah checking the toilet rolls in the toilet. The electric trips out of you try and boil water with a standard electric kettle. We have never had that problem on a CL site before, but we coped by just using the gas kettle for our tea and coffee. We have quite a long caravan (6.2m excl A-Frame), and it was a really tight squeeze accessing and exiting the site through the main gates, as there is a stream right opposite the entrance which limits your swing. The CL is set in a lovely looking apple orchard, but the downside is the number of flies and wasps that are attracted to the apples. On the plus side, it is ideally located for local sightseeing of Chedder Gorge, Wookey Hole, Street, Weston Super Mare, Brean and Burnham, and is within 5 minutes of the M5 Motorway.
