Wonderful CL site
We’ve just spent 5 nights at Dryslwyn pretty much rained day and night except one day but we had a lovely time never the less, it’s so peaceful and relaxing. Good access very spacious pitches plenty of room for an awning and car, because they are tiered ours was on the end which was nice and private.Toilet and information room on site, recycling, grey and black waste and poo bin. We had electricity and water, there is also a TV ariel but we didn’t need it, plus a table and chairs. Our nearest neighbours for most of the week were 2 horses in the field in front of us plus the beautiful bird song, you can hear the hum of traffic from M4 but not intrusive. Lovely warm welcome, our water post broke and was mended very quickly plus shingle put down as was getting a little muddy. Lovely walk through the gate to the left, horses roaming free on the common, too muddy this time to explore but will definitely come back another time, beware of adders in the summer though like everywhere else keep dogs on leads. Went to McArthur Glen indoor outlet shopping centre (you can take your dog in) and Ogmore which was very wet and windy but fabulous on a nice day, Pencoed has a Tesco and Co op both well stocked, several takeaways we didn’t try any on this occasion. This is only the 2nd CL site we have stayed on but after this stay they will be the thing of the future, looking out on a field instead of being surrounded by caravans on the big sites we think is what made it such a good stay because the weather was awful. Thank you Nic and Rob for sharing you’re little bit of heaven with us, we look forward to returning later in the year sometime.
