Sheer Bliss
This has to be amongst the best CL we've ever stayed on! The final approach is a bit tricky; best to switch off the sat-nav and use Anne's directions which are spot on. The first thing that strikes use when you arrive is the fabulous view over the valley to Pendle Hill, especially if, like us, you're lucky enough to be arriving on a clear sunny day.
All the pitches are HS and have their own tap an drain. There's a toilet and shower for those who want to use them (we do!). Loads of walks direct from the site or a short drive away. Or of course you could just sit and relax, the only sounds you're likely to hear are the sheep and the birds.
It's a little pricey by CL standards at £16 a night, but you get what you pay for. To us it was worth it for the peace and quiet alone. And, of course, there's always that view.
This was a short break for us, but we'll certainly back for a longer stay.
