Disappointing

Booked a few days here based on the many positive reviews and 5 star rating. The site has several good points - generous hard-standing pitches, a quiet rural location, hook up and water on each pitch, wi-fi included. After leaving the A59, the approach to the site is not easy, involving a long single track stone bridge and narrow roads through West Bradford village. "Fantastic views" is not really justified, with caravans in storage to one side, a large neighbouring static caravan site across the field and a nice view of Pendle Hill, partly obscured during our stay by smoke blowing across from the cement works. The single toilet, wash basin and electric shower located inside part of a barn were tired, without any heating and not at all up to the standard we would expect from a CL these days. If you're self-sufficient, that wouldn't be a problem but if, like us, you rely on site toilet and shower facilities, you won't be impressed. We also thought the price (£25 per night) was on the high side for what was on offer, especially considering some Club sites cost less than that at this time of year. Overall we were disappointed and it won't be on our repeat visit list.
