This is an amazing gem of a site. I needed somewhere to relax and unwind after an operation and this couldn't have been more perfect. The site is absolutely beautiful-gorgeous views all around,very peaceful and in a lovely area-there are many villages and also bigger towns close by to visit either by car or on foot if you like walking-there are paths leading out in the fells from the site.Or you can just stay by your van,relax and enjoy the scenery-it really is stunning.The pitches are all hardstanding and very well spaced out and there are great views from all of them.There is a toilet and shower block-always clean and tidy no matter what time of day-and an information area full of ideas of where to go and what to do (another good idea is a whiteboard for guests to write on listing good places to eat and suggestions for where to visit).The owner Ann is absolutely fantastic.She made me feel really welcome and showed me where to pitch and even helped me set up.She is so friendly and helpful and makes you feel that nothing is too much trouble.Follow her directions to the site and you can't go wrong-i was on my own in my van and had no trouble whatsoever. All in all this is now a new favourite and i (and my dogs who were also welcomed) will go back and visit time and time again. Two added bonuses for me are that it is adults only and that it is open all year as i,or us if my husband is with me,tend to get out more in the winter than in the summer and i think this site is just perfect.Thankyou so much Ann-look forward to seeing you again soon!
