We needed a location to stay over for a weekend family visit and this fitted the bill.
As suggested please take the directions offered by the owners and NOT what your Sat Nav may tell you. Easy to find, the farm track is well maintained and the pitch vista is uninterrupted from left to right.
Yes you can just about see parts of the A5 and A45 but compared to most of built up UK it was silent. All the expected facilities are on hand and the tv reception was excellent. You will pitch on the top of a very slight slope.
Would suggest going to the Heart of the Shires Shopping Centre if you want some retail therapy as it is only 5 mins away on the A5.
We would certainly use it again for another family stay over.
Wonderful Hidden Gem
Wow this CL is one of the best we have stayed on its simply stunning. We only live a few miles away but could have been anywhere. The owner Adrian is excellent and communication beforehand and is super friendly and knows the area so well . We felt like we were staying with friends due to his warm welcome. Equally if you want a quite break you don't feel intruded on at all. The site itself is set on a working farm with the most scenic views spreading for miles and miles. The sunset is worth wandering across the site to see and there is an abundance of wildlife to spy. The local area has lots offer with the Heart of the Shires shopping village just a stones throw along with a very good local farm shop called Noborough on the A5 their meat is excellent quality ( this is coming from a butchers daughter so I know my meat). The little village of Weedon is just down the with Antique shops and a little Tesco. Further up the A5 is the Narrow Boat Inn which has an extensive menu and the food is pretty good. I could literally wax lyrical about this site all day we would struggle to find a CL much better than this and the bonus of being so local. We can't wait to return in fact we have just rebooked for this weekend.

Peace and tranquillity
Stayed here for 3 nights this week and were the only ones there for 2 of them. Close to A5 and/or M1. But far enough up the farm track to have no road noise. Beautiful scenic views from the pitch and plenty of local walking. EHU and water on each pitch. Very friendly and helpful owner. Adrian will give you details of walks and places to eat or visit. Pub and takeaway just a 30 minute easy walk. We felt completely relaxed and will definitely be back again.

Dodford lodge
Spent Bank holiday weekend here, our first trip out with a caravan ( had a folding camper for some years), great little site on top of the hill with veiw across the valley with old railway line at the foot of the hill and village of Dodford.
The site is well draining all the wet weather in the week leading up to the weekend and yet the ground was firm and dry.
Well maintained gravel drive up to the site, you will feel as if you are in the heart of country side, behind you is the A5 and M1 and a rail line in front of you is A45 yet you don't notice them unless you really listen.
Some lovely walks from the site, not far to Daventry, for a supermarket or little Tesco Express in Weedon, in easy distance of several Pubs that serve food.
Lot of historic site near by to explore, and canal which make a good walk in it self.
The pitch is gently sloping,,four of them have electric, fresh and grey water points, so easy when everything is on hand.
We really enjoyed our long weekend and will be returning, warm clear weekend, pitch gets the sun all day, and the sloping field has room to play, will it be running around with water pistols or getting the tennis bats out.
Adrian the site owner is great, his good knowledge of walks and attractions in the area and is more than happy to help.
Peaceful rural location, close to M1/A5
This is a great site for a stopover heading north/south on the M1 or A5. However, there is also lots to recommend the local area (we are biased, we live nearby and used the site as a 'dry run' for our new motorhome).
Site approach is via a well-maintained gravel road and is easy to find from the A5.
The site itself is very peaceful and quiet, with lovely views. We received a very warm welcome from Adrian, the site owner. You can just about hear the A5 in the distance if you listen carefully.
This area is great if you love walking through the countryside, historic churches and country homes and gardens (such as Althorp Estate, Coton Manor, Canons Ashby and Castle Ashby). It's also great for cycling, with quiet roads and rolling terrain.
We stayed one night and enjoyed the views and the fish and chips at The White Horse at Norton.
Expect we will be back again very soon - felt like we had a mini-holiday!
