We've just spent nearly 2 weeks on this site. A classic CL. A good size field with 5 EHU points lined up along the top of the field. The approach route is a bit narrow but there are plenty of passing places. No problem as long as you look well ahead. Newbourne is a unique village with an interesting history. There are plenty of walks from the village, You must have breakfast at the nearby Nourish Cafe. The Fox Inn is at the far end of the village, but we prefer the Maybush in Waldringfield overlooking the River Deben. The whole of the Suffolk Coast and Heath area is beautiful. So much to explore and enjoy.
Beautiful and tranquil
We have now visited this site twice and hoping to come again. It’s a large field that’s well maintained with lots of space. The village itself has a cafe, some stalls selling excellent local produce and a great pub within walking distance. The nature reserve behind the local pub is beautiful. You can also do a circular walk to Waldringfield and enjoy a drink at the Maybush Inn by the riverside. The road approaching is single track but plenty of passing places and good view ahead so really not a problem. I hope to visit again soon!

If you love towing down single track roads..

For added excitement if you are quick ) the recommended route is closed (they are laying drains) I had to pull into twelve passing places of the diversion alone, beware of the very steep hump in the road by the water mill as you will ground longer outfits.
Once there the site itself is a gently sloping field, phone signal is poor. The noise from the lane from the couple of dozen vehicles a day... also some noisy birds tweeting in the bushes, pheasants declaring territory, owls hooting and Munjac deer barking...
Very nice local area, very good food at the village pub, The Fox. Woodbridge is close by to visit and has many quaint shops.

We have just spent a very hot week here. The site is big and pretty level, with a good secure gate. The road in is narrow but has lots of passing places, do follow the sites directory instructions. Felixstowe is only a short drive away.
Only negative - but this could be a positive, depending on your views, there was no mobile phone signal or WiFi connection.
